I got word this week that I have been accepted into the NYC International Reel Film Festival for my horror short screenplay titled “BEHOLDER” in the 2026-2027 judging period! *SCREAMS FOR JOY*

As a horror media lover, this is SO ridiculously cool and a first for my writing career thus far. Look, I even got my laurels. Check them out while they’re still shiny:

I’m still waiting on word from the judges and organizers regarding whether or not my screenplay has been selected as a category winner but I am SO ready to find out. The anticipation is almost killing me (ALMOST!). I’ve still got to stay alive to attend the awards ceremony in person, now don’t I?

Win or lose, it was a complete honor to have been chosen as an OFFICIAL SELECTION and I hope this opens the door to many more writing projects moving forward! And who knows? Perhaps BEHOLDER will be optioned or bought by a production studio, made into a film, and brought to a big or small screen near you.
